Diamide capsules contain the active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride. It works by increasing gut transit time so that food takes longer to pass through the gastrointestinal tract. This allows the bowel time to absorb water and produce a more solid stool.
Diamide is used to treat patients with sudden (acute) or long-lasting (chronic) diarrhoea. It is also used to treat diarrhoea in people with an ileostomy (part of the intestines removed by surgery).

Active Ingredients:
Each Capsule contains: Loperamide hydrochloride 2mg
Dosage:
Usual Adult Dosage: 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each unformed stool.
Daily dosage should not exceed 8 Capsules.
Warnings:
Do not use in children under 12 years, unless directed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or Breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Diamide. IF diarrhoea persists for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor. Contains lactose and is gluten free.
